The Grills Have Graduated
Written by Jonette Penton

I am looking for 3 gas grills that can be picked up and hauled to marching events in the month of October.  A truck has already been volunteered for pick up, hauling and returning to the owners.

If you enjoy grilling, I am always looking for a handful of cooks too.

There was nothing better than a HOT Hot Dog straight off the grill at a bone chilling event like KSU was in 2009. Thank you in advance for volunteering your grill...

Job Opportunity
Written by Terry Xidis, owner of Hazel Hill

Many groups are trying to bring downtown Topeka back to a lively fun place to visit. One way these groups and the merchants are doing this is by being open late on Thursdays and encouraging street music and vendors.

Hazel Hill Chocolate is looking for performers to play in front of our store on Thursday evenings 6 to 8pm. They performers would not be playing the whole time - 30 minutes play/10 minute break and repeat. Pay is $25 and may include a drink and a snack from the candy store. The performers are welcome to put out a hat to collect tips. I have an amp and mic if needed.

I appreciate your help in spreading the word. If you know of someone who could benefit from this experience or enjoys performing, please have them contact me by email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or by cell 408-2122.

Blubaugh Donations
Written by Administrator

The band has many ways to show support for the Blubaugh family.  A memorial fund has been set up to remember Nick Blubaugh at Silver Lake Bank under the name of Anthony Blubaugh.  Donations may be made at any Silver Lake Bank location.

The family has indicated that due to storage issues, they request any additional donations be made in the form of gift cards.  Cards may be dropped off with the color guard.
